Established by Laurie Williams in early 1991, L J Williams & Associates was one of the early pioneers in providing professional recruitment services to the retail Motor Industry and subsequently set up a network of offices in the eastern states and SA.
This network was sold off to the respective state operatives by the late 90s and until recently L J Williams & Associates has traded successfully from its Melbourne base with a focus on metro Melbourne and regional Victoria.
In late 2008 the decision was made to establish LJW Employment Solutions to offer recruitment consulting services and employee behavioural profiling to clients in non-automotive industry sectors.

In mid 2009, L J Williams & Associates agreed to a merger with specialist motor industry recruiters Automotive Personnel in Sydney to form a larger and stronger alliance known as Automotive Personnel International.
