Are you looking for a career in heavy automotive? We are seeking two enthusiastic individuals to undertake formal training in the Parts Department of a busy and successful retail truck dealer group.

CMV Truck & Bus has five dealerships located in Victoria, selling new and used Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, and Volvo Trucks and Buses. (These brands hold considerable market share both nationally and in the local area)

About the job

 

As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter you will undertake both on the job and classroom training which, on completion, will provide a nationally recognised formal trade qualification. 

 

Qualified Automotive Parts Interpreters are in high demand which provides a level of job security plus the opportunity for further career progression over time.

 

The fast-tracked training is fully TAFE accredited and is delivered via CMV’s dedicated Training Centre in Melbourne.

 

What will the job look like?

 

The Parts Department is a vital part of the dealership as it provides the necessary parts to facilitate vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair via our own Service Department or direct to customers and independent repairers.

 

In addition to learning about how to identify the correct parts to meet your customers requirements, you will become proficient in the warehouse and logistics aspects of the operation.

 

The person we seek

 

Ideally, you will have some experience in the workforce and will be looking for a long term career opportunity. You will probably have an interest in automotive or mechanical things such as cars and trucks.

 

Experience, skills & attributes required

 

  • Interest in automotive and mechanical things

  • Genuine customer focus 

  • Reliable, organised and self motivated

  • Willingness to learn new things

  • Good communication skills

  • Current drivers licence
