About the role
Reporting to the National Training Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to deliver training programs to the Isuzu truck and power solutions dealers throughout Australia. You will also assist in the development of training materials and training aids.
Duties & responsibilities include:
Preparation and delivery of instructor-led training courses (frequent interstate travel required)
Assist with developing training materials
Evaluate effectiveness of training course instructional design
Undertake planning and coordination activities relating to training
Manage resource booking and inter-department and dealer liaison and interaction
Coordinate and perform technical writing assignments Assist with planning, design and implementation of Technical Competitions
Work related travel
With dealers in all Australian states and territories to support, this position requires significant business travel.
You will work from Isuzu Australia’s recently-completed, purpose-built 21,000 m2, facility in Truganina. This state-of-the-art building brings all of the company’s activities under one site, enabling more immediate collaboration and communication between the various operations.

We need an Automotive Technical Trainer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who is committed to excellence in all tasks. You will work independently with minimal direction, and have the ability to plan your own work schedules to achieve specific deadlines and KPIs.
This role will suit experienced automotive trainers as well as motivated and enthusiastic automotive technician wishing to further their career in the automotive training environment.
All applicants for this role should:
Hold relevant trade qualifications (or relevant tertiary qualifications)
Have a minimum 5 years trade experience.
Have obtained Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. (Isuzu Australia will support the successful applicant in obtaining a Cert IV in Training and Assessment if required)
Have direct experience in the development and/or delivery of automotive technical training. (Desired)
Have a detailed knowledge of current automotive technology including electrical/electronic systems
Have strong communication skills – written and spoken
Possess and be able to demonstrate proficiency in is using Microsoft Office products (in particular PowerPoint, Word & Excel – experience with Adobe Creative Suite products would be an advantage)
Hold a current Driver's Licence (HR desired)
Be willing to travel interstate to deliver training courses
