About the employer


CMV Fleet Management provide tailored heavy vehicle maintenance and management services for major transport fleets, employing over 80 people nationally across 16 sites. We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family owned business which was established in 1934 and now has over 1,400 employees across South Australia and Victoria.


About the roles


We regularly require experienced trade qualified Diesel Mechanics for our operations at:

  • Darnum VIC

  • Rochester VIC

  • Maffra VIC

  • Leongatha VIC

  • Cobden VIC

  • Warnambool VIC

  • Devonport TAS


Duties and responsibilities


You will carry out the service and repair of customers vehicles to ensure total customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner, taking into account time, safety and quality workmanship.


This will involve an interesting variety of trucks, trailers and ancillary equipment, and cover routine servicing and maintenance, diagnostic procedures, repairs and rebuilds.


Required attributes, skills and experience


  • Formal mechanical trade qualifications

  • Previous Volvo Truck experience advantageous but not essential

  • Customer focused team attitude with good communication skills

  • Reliable with good time management skills

  • Willing to work overtime if required

  • Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

  • Current drivers licence preferably MC

Remuneration and benefits


Attractive hourly rates will be negotiated with selected applicants.


Depending on the job site, hours may alternate between early (5am) and late (10am) start shifts.
