About the role

 

We require a hands-on Site Supervisor to lead a small team of mechanics at our Fleet Management site in Darnum VIC. 

 

This will involve an interesting variety of trucks, trailers and ancillary equipment, and cover routine servicing and maintenance, diagnostic procedures and repairs.

 

As site supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the operation, ensuring all vehicles are serviced on time and to a high standard while maintaining positive working relationships with the Staff, drivers, Customer Management, CMV Management and suppliers. 

 

Hours will alternate between early (5am) and late (10am) start shifts.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Carry out all fleet service and maintenance requirements, Including daily service routine and after hours breakdown management

  • Ensure vehicles are scheduled appropriately based on the operation

  • Responsibility for the day to day operations

  • Staff support and management

  • Ensure paperwork and invoices are presented daily

  • Ensure compliance with all company and customer processes 

  • Promote and ensure health and safety standards

 

The person we seek

 

To succeed in this role you will need to be a qualified diesel technician, preferably with people management experience. 

 

Proven experience in heavy vehicle service & maintenance operations including: Planning & scheduling, repair order management, job costing and invoicing, warranty & sublet processing, is highly desirable.
