About the role

Reporting into the Parts Manager, the Parts Sales Representative is an external sales role with a focus on providing quality solutions to customers’ truck and trailer parts needs.

This is achieved by building quality business relationships via regular face-to-face interaction.

You will service a large existing client base whilst also looking for new business opportunities within a defined sales territory.

A background in automotive parts sales would be ideal, but we would also consider applicants with commercial vehicle mechanical trade experience who want to get off the tools and take on a rewarding customer facing role.

Required attributes, skills and experience

  • A reliable person with strong work ethic and current drivers licence

  • A solutions driven individual who enjoys dealing with people and solving problems

  • The confidence and resilience to find and develop new business opportunities

  • The ability to work without constant supervision whilst still operating as part of a team

  • A solid understanding of heavy road transport trucks and trailers would be advantageous

  • Some exposure to automotive replacement parts sales in a new vehicle or aftermarket environment is desirable
