About the role

(This role is available due to internal promotion)

CMV’s Contract Parts Division provides personalised services to major transport fleet operators. As Sales Representative, you are responsible for managing existing accounts whilst actively seeking out new business opportunities.

You will be based at the company’s Derrimut dealership, and although part of a larger team, there is a high degree of autonomy with this job.

The role involves both office based and on the road sales activities and the territory covers Melbourne’s western and northern suburbs.

The person we seek

You will need to be:

  • Professional - confident and well-presented

  • Customer focused - able to deal with clients at all levels

  • Sales orientated - proactive, creative and able to problem solve

Our focus is on finding the right person for this important role. Attitude, work ethic and resilience are just as important as previous experience.

A background in automotive parts, road transport or heavy automotive would be extremely helpful, as would previous experience in an external sales role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage existing accounts and ensure they receive first class service

  • Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential clients

  • Build quality relationships with all decision makers

  • Devise and present problem solving solutions to win new business

  • Manage key accounts and consignment stores, establish and maintain a formal follow-up system for stock replenishment

  • Maintain our in-house customer database and associated reporting

  • Deliver parts as required to customer sites

  • Process customer invoices and quotations for parts requirements
