About the opportunity

Based at the company’s Sydney branch in Smithfield, this is a multi-faceted role split between parts interpretation and service activities, plus assisting the branch manager with the daily operation of the branch.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Parts enquiries and sales

  • Booking workshop jobs

  • Quoting on parts and service jobs

  • Invoicing

  • Stock control

  • Purchasing

  • Inter-branch transfers

  • Freight management

  • OH&S & QA management

The person we seek

A trade qualified automotive Technician, ideally with heavy truck and / or spare parts experience.

We need a genuine team player with good communications skills and a willingness to learn.

A heavy vehicle and forklift licences would be advantageous.

Required, qualifications, skills, and experience include:

  • Ability to determine alternative solutions to customers and sell them on the benefits.

  • Advanced mechanical skills and aptitude.

  • Understanding of heavy vehicle power steering systems and parts preferred.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Able to communicate with customers on a daily basis.

  • Basic computer skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to learn Job management and Invoicing processes and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to follow and develop work instructions.

  • Ability and willingness to assist the workshop with simple heavy vehicle power steering systems.
