About the role


We require a suitably qualified and experienced person to manage the company’s Fairfield branch. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for all operational and business matters, with the goal of achieving profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction objectives.


Why is this job available?


The current manager is taking a key role in the business’ expansion plans and needs someone to replace him as he moves up. The good news is that the incumbent will be available to provide a detailed handover to the new manager.


Duties and responsibilities include


  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the branch customer service and technical team members

  • Report to business owners regarding branch performance, proposed changes or improvements

  • General day-to-day admin and business management tasks

  • Handle customers' phone enquiries and bookings

  • Meet and greet customers upon their arrival

  • Record and convey all customer requests and expectations

  • Oversee allocation of jobs to workshop technical staff

  • Ensure availability and sourcing of appropriate parts

  • Liaise with the customer regarding additional work authorisations or delays

  • Finalise and process workshop repair orders and generate customer invoices

  • Explain work done and related costs as necessary

  • Handle any customer queries/complaints


The person we seek


You will be a proven manager with exceptional people skills, and the desire to take ownership of this challenge and deliver excellent results.


You will also have:


  • An automotive technical background

  • Management experience in a new vehicle dealership or independent workshop

  • Exposure to European or prestige brands


Required attributes, skills and experience


To succeed in this role you will need to be very customer focused and genuine in your desire to deliver exceptional customer service; plus:


  • You will be a reliable and accountable individual with professional and businesslike personal presentation

  • Be willing to embrace and follow established and proven processes

  • Have a solid level of computer / IT skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Desire and ability to lead a successful team that takes pride in what they do

Remuneration and benefits


This is a Monday to Friday operation, with a very attractive salary package including profit share and company car. (OTE in excess of $150K)
