The opportunity
As the Purchasing / Admin Officer, your primary responsibility will be to establish and execute strategic objectives that optimise procurement processes and support sales and marketing initiatives. You will play a key role in negotiating and managing supplier relationships and ensuring efficient procurement of goods to meet production / sales demands.

Duties and responsibilities include:
Negotiate price procurement and supplier service of incoming goods
Liaise with International suppliers & freight forwarders
Prepare cash flow reports for overseas purchases
Plan, schedule, and procure production requirements
Prepare monthly MRP reports for local and overseas purchases
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain accuracy of production schedule
Maintain accuracy of stock valuation by periodically reviewing records against physical stock
Onboard new suppliers in line with the Company Approved Supplier program
Schedule products in line with procurement MOQs & lead times, considering customer expectations
Maintain material stock holding in line with production requirements
Work closely with other managers within the business to deliver business objectives
What you need to bring
Experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
Bring energy and excitement to the position
Have genuine care and work well under pressure
Proven experience as a purchasing officer or manager
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills
Excellent communication abilities including competent spelling, verbal & accurate written expression skills
Have an interest in developing and following business processes
Demonstrable experience continuously reducing business costs
Experience working within a Quality systems compliance environment
Be able to motivate and lead by example, as a role model to the wider business
