About the employer

 

A well established Australian company which imports, manufactures and wholesales a specialised range of fast moving automotive replacement parts. Their point of difference is that they focus on high quality, premium products in their areas of expertise rather than trying to compete across the entire aftermarket auto parts sector.

 

About the role

 

Due to the pending retirement of a successful, long-term team member, they need to find a suitable replacement to take over an existing and profitable sales territory. You will service an established customer base in an area covering northern Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and SE QLD.

 

Sales are made directly to the customer from the sales rep’s fully stocked company provided van. 

 

The selected applicant will be fully trained in all aspects of the company's products, with on-going management support to ensure their success. Most importantly, you will enjoy a thorough handover / customer introduction process with the current Sales Rep;

 

The person we seek 

 

This role offers a high degree of autonomy, and as such requires a person with the necessary levels of drive, self-motivation and planning ability to operate in this type of environment.

 

We are keen to speak to interested candidates with an outgoing personality and well developed people skills. 

 

Some sort of automotive background or strong interest in cars will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Proven external sales experience would be helpful, but other hard-working candidates who are willing to develop themselves into this position will also be considered.

 

Required attributes, skills and experience


  • Current drivers licence

  • Willingness to learn 

  • Confidence and resilience to service a large, established customer base

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Ability to work without constant supervision

  • Reliable with strong work ethic

  • Residential location that allows ease of access to the sales territory (northern Sydney suburbs)

  • Ability to undertake away from home sales trips (every 2 months for 3-4 nights)

What’s on offer?

 

Proven earning potential in excess of $125,000 + super, with base salary of circa $75,000 plus commission. Based on the previous 12 months’ sales performance, this role would have generated approximately $53,000 in commission.


Mobile phone, laptop computer and fully maintained company van are provided.
