About the Role

We require a person to accurately diagnose faults and remove and repair steering gears and pumps.

This would suit an experienced truck mechanic wishing to get away from heavy driveline, suspension, brake & clutch work and move into a specialist area.

The job will also suit a person who wants to specialise in this specific part of the industry.

We are willing to train someone with good mechanical aptitude.

The Person we seek

We need an enthusiastic and reliable person who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the customer experience.

Knowledge of truck power steering systems would be desirable but is not essential.

Required attributes, skills and experience

• Hands-on mechanical background

• Understanding of heavy truck power steering (desirable)

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work without constant supervision

• Able to communicate effectively with customers and workshop team

• Drivers licence with a clean driving record (HR licence desirable)
